Holy Saturday: Embracing the Silence 🕊️
As we approach the culmination of Holy Week, I invite you to pause and reflect on the significance of this day: Saturday, the day of silence.
In the midst of the anticipation of Resurrection Sunday, Saturday often gets overshadowed, yet it holds its own profound meaning in our faith.
On this day, we find the disciples in a state of mourning and confusion, grappling with the loss of their beloved teacher and the shattered expectations of their Messiah. It was a day of uncertainty, doubt, and fear, as they waited in the silence between the crucifixion and the resurrection.
But even in the silence, there is a lesson to be learned.
Saturday reminds us of the importance of trusting in God's timing, even when we cannot see or understand His plan. It is a reminder that sometimes, in the stillness and darkness of our lives, God is at work in ways we cannot perceive.
As we wait in hopeful anticipation of Resurrection Sunday, let us take this opportunity to surrender our doubts and fears to God, trusting that just as He brought light out of darkness on that first Sunday, He can bring hope and redemption into our lives today.
May the silence of Saturday deepen our appreciation for the miracle of Resurrection Sunday and renew our faith in the power of God's love and grace.

This post speaks to me where in at today. I’m between getting my healing stories on paper to making the move to get them published. I want to doubt this process, dismiss the importance of this, forget what a walk of faith & trust it’s been to actually start this project. That was a few days ago.
I’m starting to see more, tho… a breakthrough in my family and acknowledgment that my journey in this writing season has encouraged them, led the way for more light in to all of our stories.
What a beautiful God we serve! Her reigns forevermore! Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice, for total surrender, for that love that led you to the cross. You are worthy of ALL glory, honor and praise!

Thank you Vanessa for this message about Saturday. I awoke to the Lord speaking the same to me after a difficult, disorienting night. The disciples, on Saturday, were in despair and misery, too. Even when it is the darkest and deathly quiet, God is still at work and he still loves us. Thank you for sharing this. P.S. I love your art work and testimony. God bless you.
